Krista Stauffer

Krista earned her occupational therapy degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 1994. She began her career in acute inpatient and outpatient pediatric rehabilitation, working with children facing various challenges including brain injury, spinal cord injury, failure to thrive, and sensory integration disorders.
Throughout her career, Krista has pursued extensive professional development, completing numerous sensory integration courses and becoming certified in Sensory Integration and Praxis testing. She is also certified in the Handwriting Without Tears Program and has specialized training in Total Motion Release and various feeding interventions.
With 27 years of experience in Early Intervention, Krista has developed expertise in addressing a wide range of developmental challenges and diagnoses. She is passionate about sharing her knowledge with parents, teachers, and students through educational outreach. She regularly presents lectures in various community settings, including early childhood education programs, Head Start, and the Intermediate Unit, covering topics such as Sensory Integration, early intervention, and “Movement is Learning.”
