Amy Kelso

B.S.Ed.

Amy Kelso holds a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania and is currently pursuing her Master’s in Special Education, demonstrating her commitment to ongoing professional development in the field of education.

Her diverse experience in child development and education includes roles as a Therapeutic Staff Support in an Autistic Support classroom, working with children from newborn to five years old. Amy has also served as a Behavior Support Paraprofessional in a grade school setting, providing her with a comprehensive understanding of children’s developmental needs across various age groups.

Currently, Amy balances her role as a special instructor with her full-time position as a 4th grade math teacher. This dual role allows her to apply her expertise in both general and special education, enriching her approach to supporting children’s learning and development.

Amy’s passion for education extends beyond the classroom. She enjoys collaborating with children and their families, helping them navigate challenges and achieve their goals. Her family-centered approach aligns with best practices in early intervention and special education.

Outside of her professional life, Amy cherishes time spent with her son and family. She also enjoys immersing herself in a good book when time allows, reflecting her love for learning and personal growth.

Through her varied experiences and ongoing education, Amy brings a wealth of knowledge and a compassionate approach to her work with children and families, supporting their development and learning journeys.
