Hi, I’m Abbie, and I’m excited to support you and your little one! As a mom of two (almost three!) and an experienced clinician, I combine both personal and professional expertise to best serve your family.
While many therapeutic suggestions sound great in theory, I understand that implementing them in real life can be challenging. My primary goal is to educate and empower parents to strengthen their relationships with their children while supporting speech and language development. When parents feel confident in supporting their children’s goals, meaningful connections naturally follow.
Although I have experience working with individuals of all ages, I’ve found my true passion in supporting children and families during the critical developmental period from birth to age five. I value all forms of communication and encourage families to do the same. I am conversational in American Sign Language (ASL) and have learned directly from members of the Deaf community over the past several years. I also have a foundational knowledge of Spanish, which I continue to expand daily.
I encourage families to embrace all forms of communication, whether through spoken language, sign language (ASL), or alternative/augmentative communication (AAC). Having gone through early intervention services with my oldest child, I bring genuine empathy and understanding to families at any stage of their journey.
I maintain a judgment-free, accepting approach because I know that raising children is challenging. Receiving services should bring nothing but support and encouragement to help your family thrive and strengthen connections. Through education, practice, and play-based therapy, I am confident you will soon feel empowered in supporting your child’s communication goals.
