Emily Wachter Early Intervention is seeking a passionate and dedicated Licensed Dietitian-Nutritionist to join our growing team! As part of our multidisciplinary approach to early intervention, you will play a vital role in supporting the nutritional needs of children and families in Northwest Pennsylvania.
Make a difference in the lives of young children! In this role, you will:
- Provide comprehensive nutrition assessments and counseling: Evaluate the dietary needs of children with developmental delays and disabilities. Develop individualized nutrition plans, considering specific medical conditions, feeding difficulties, and family preferences.
- Educate and empower families: Conduct home visits and consultations to guide parents and caregivers on age-appropriate nutrition, meal planning, and feeding techniques.
- Collaborate with our team: Work closely with speech therapists, occupational therapists, and other professionals to develop holistic intervention strategies that address each child’s unique needs.
- Advocate for optimal nutrition: Serve as a resource and advocate for families navigating nutrition-related challenges.
- Stay current on best practices: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of pediatric nutrition guidelines and evidence-based interventions for children with developmental disabilities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field.
- Active Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential.
- Experience working with children is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for working collaboratively with families.
