Ashley Peterson

MA. CCC-SLP

Ashley Peterson, M.A. CCC-SLP is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.  She graduated from Edinboro University with a Master of Arts in Speech Language Pathology, and has 11 years experience working in the field.  Ashley has treated articulation, phonological, fluency, receptive, expressive, and cognitive communication disorders.

As an Early Intervention SLP, she believes that every child has something to say, and with the proper support will find a communication style to meet their wants and needs.  She navigates speech sessions by working with parents and caregivers to cultivate speech and language strategies that are most to meaningful to the child’s interests and routines.  She has found that speech and language intervention that is rooted in child led learning is the best way to promote success.

Ashley lives in Erie with her husband and four children.  In addition to working as a per diem SLP for Emily Wachter EI Services she also works full time school aged SLP.  In her current full-time role, she specializes in treating nonspeaking children who utilize Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) as a primary means of communication.
