Emily Wachter Early Intervention is seeking a compassionate and skilled Physical Therapist to provide early intervention services to children ages birth to three in McKean County, PA. This is a rewarding opportunity to support gross motor development and empower families through personalized, home-based care.
What You’ll Do:
Evaluate Developmental Needs: Perform assessments focused on gross motor skills, movement patterns, muscle tone, strength, and coordination
Develop Treatment Plans: Create individualized intervention plans using evidence-based techniques to support mobility and functional movement
Provide Direct Services: Deliver therapy in the child’s home or community setting, tailoring support to their natural routines
Partner with Families: Coach caregivers on strategies and exercises to encourage progress between sessions
Collaborate with Team Members: Work alongside speech, occupational, and developmental therapists to provide holistic care
Document Thoroughly: Maintain accurate, timely records of assessments, plans, and progress

Qualifications:
Education: Doctorate or Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program (Required)
Licensure: Current Pennsylvania Physical Therapy License (Required)
Experience: 1+ year working with children birth to three in early intervention or pediatric settings (Preferred)
Additional Requirements:
Strong understanding of child development and early intervention principles
Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
Willingness to travel within McKean County
